Super Seniors!
/2020 Is The Year To Thrive, And Not Just Survive!
When I am touring Heaton Place, I always mention, “Why wait, come now, while you are still able to actively participate in your life! Come and thrive with all of us!” says Carrie O’Neill, Resident Relations Coordinator. Moving from one’s home into a retirement facility can be challenging for some, but like the old phrase says, ‘when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change’. A facility like Heaton Place, offers the comforts of home, with fully contained suites, plus all the wonderful services that allow you to be pampered while you enjoy this chapter of your life.
Heaton Place Retirement Community is focusing on activities and events that will ensure our residents have every opportunity to engage in a thriving environment. Alvin Raboch was recently welcomed into our family, and it has been a joy to watch him take charge of his own revitalization!“
Every time I walk out of my office, there is Alvin playing crib, doing exercises, participating in our gathering circles, and more. Not only do I see him actively involved, but, I see a smile on his face, I see him interacting and building relationships, and I see a man enjoying his day to day life! I bear witness to a man who is thriving at Heaton Place!
Our team is rallying together to jazz up our Social Programming in 2020! Our seniors can expect dances, theme days, new fun games, art classes, wine and paint night, intergenerational activities and more! Our goal is to enrich and enhance the lives of our seniors!
Another way of connecting and building relationships is through our Gathering/Sharing Circles. Mother Teresa writes that if we have no peace it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other. The circle provides a space to widen our senses to those around us, both familiar and unfamiliar. We laugh, sing, talk, listen, and sometimes shed a tear. The magic of it all though, is connection!
We wish to extend an invitation for lunch and a tour! We are committed to offering thoughtful discussions during the process of transition. Allow us to take good care of your loved ones. Together, we will walk one step at a time!
